July 11, 2009- Town of Evans- 0217 HRS- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the arrest of a West Seneca man for heroin possession and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the Town of Evans.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputies James Kelley and Warren Hawthorn stopped a vehicle on Eden Evans Center Road in the Town of Evans for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, the driver, 32 year old Clifford Alf III, of Boncroft Drive, West Seneca, was found to be in possession of 18 small baggies of heroin, along with various forms of drug paraphernalia such as spoons for cooling heroin; small envelopes for packaging the drug, and a couple of hypodermic needles.
Alf was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree. Alf's vehicle was towed and he was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held without bail pending arraignment in the Town of Evans Court.
