ELMA WOMAN ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED DWI
July 15, 2009- Town of Elma- 0125 HRS: Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a 51 year old Elma woman.
While on patrol, Deputy Thomas Meredith observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner. Deputy Meredith conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and his investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver for Driving While Intoxicated. Susan L. Lurie of Elma was arrested for various traffic infractions and Driving While Intoxicated. Ms. Lurie did submit to a chemical test of her breath with a result of 0.21% BAC. Ms. Lurie was also charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, due to the result being greater than 0.18% BAC.
Ms. Lurie was released on Uniform Traffic Tickets, returnable to the Town of Elma Court at a later date.
