TOWN OF HOLLAND MAN PEPPER-SPRAYED/ ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF CRIMINAL MISCHIEF; RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT; OBSTRUCTION OF GOVERMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

July 18, 2009- Town of Holland-Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a 46 year old Holland man.

Deputies Jason Bouton, Timothy Dusza and James Flowers responded to a disturbance call in the town of Holland. Upon their arrival, they found Robert M Vogel in an intoxicated condition, out of control, destroying his home, having broken out the kitchen windows and breaking up the sink. During the outburst Vogel started throwing broken glass (Frisbee style) at Deputy Bouton. After struggling with Deputies, Vogel was peppered sprayed and taken into custody.

Vogel was treated at the scene by EMS. Vogel was charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd, Reckless Endangerment 2nd, Obstruction of Govt. Admin., Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct. Vogel was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center without bail.
