DISABLED VEHICLE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DWI ARREST
Town of North Collins- July 23, 2009- 1:22 AM- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a North Collins resident for Driving While Intoxicated.
Deputy Ken Achtyl investigated a disabled vehicle on Jennings Rd. in the Town of North Collins when he observed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The driver, Joshua Appleford, age 21, of Harrison Ave., North Collins, failed several field sobriety tests. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Appleford did submit to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol concentration. The test result was .12% BAC.
Appleford was released to his father and will appear in the Town of North Collins Court at a later date.
