TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST ON WEAPONS CHARGES IN TOWN OF MARILLA

August 12, 2009- Town of Marilla- 6:44 AM- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that a traffic stop lead to the arrest of a 28-year-old Arcade man on weapons charges.

Deputies Darryl DeMari and John Hanna stopped a vehicle for speeding on Two Rod Rd. in the town of Marilla. The vehicle was being operated by Ernest Parry age 28 of the Town of Arcade. A check of his license showed that it was currently suspended for failure to answer a summons in the town of Sardinia. A check of his vehicle turned up a gravity knife and an electronic stun gun.

Mr. Parry was charged with Speeding, Following to Close, Driving with a Suspended License and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree.
