DOMESTIC ASSULT IN THE TOWN OF ELMA
October 4, 2009- Town of Elma- 6:18 PM- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the arrest of an East Aurora man on assault charges stemming from a domestic incident with his 37 year old girlfriend. James Malone, age 56, of Sycamore street, became involved in an altercation while in the parking lot of Matty's Bar on Bowen Road, when he pulled Jennifer Turnbull out of a vehicle and threw her to the ground, causing her to strike her head.
The couple then left the area in the vehicle heading north on Bowen Road where it was located and stopped by deputies from the Elma sub-station. Malone was taken into custody and was charged with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center on no bail, pending his arraignment in the Town of Elma Court. The victim, who was uncooperative, refused treatment at the scene.
