SIX THOUSAND DOLLAR RING STOLEN FROM STORE AT EASTERN HILLS MALL

October 13, 2009- Town of Clarence- 5:00 PM --Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that the Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of an expensive diamond ring from a jewelry store located in the Eastern Hills Mall late Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly before 5:00 Pm on Monday, the suspect entered the jewelry store and told employees that he wanted to look at diamond rings. The clerk showed the suspect three rings; he grabbed the third one, a round diamond set in white gold and ran out of the store and out of the mall. The ring is valued at about $6,000.00

The suspect is described as being a clean shaven black male, approximately five feet, eight inches tall, and 140 pounds with short hair. He was wearing a long sleeve black shirt and dark pants. The suspect may have gotten into a red Pontiac Grand AM.
