October 15, 2009- Town of Orchard Park: Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of 4 people in connection with narcotics, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the Town of Orchard Park.
While on routine patrol, Deputy Ken Achtyl conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for speeding on Route 219 in the Town of Orchard Park. While interviewing the driver, Deputy Achtyl saw in plain view multiple prescription medicine bottles that did not appear to have any labels on them. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in finding approx. 16 grams of Marijuana, 2 Marijuana smoking pipes, a digital scale, 10 Lortabs (not in proper container), a cheese grater used to grind the Lortabs, a plate with Lortab residue, a straw used to snort the ground Lortab pills, several prescription medicine bottles with labels removed, containing numerous Cyclobenzaprine pills (a muscle relaxer).
The following people were arrested: Rik Rinehart age 20 of Salamanca, charged with PL 220.03 Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th. Sean M. Evans age 23 of Great Valley, charged with PL 220.50-3 Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, PL 221.05 Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Amanda J Calkins age 20 of Salamanca, charged with PHL 3345 Possession of Controlled Substances By Ultimate Users Original Container. Danielle D. Wilson age 20 of Salamanca, also charged with PHL 3345 Possession of Controlled Substances By Ultimate Users Original Container.
All suspects were released on Appearance Tickets, returnable to the Town of Orchard Park Court at a later date.
