DWI ARRESTS IN SPRINGVILLE AND ON CATTARAUGUS INDIAN RESERVATION

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B Howard reports that deputies made 2 driving while intoxicated arrests in the early morning of Sunday 10/18/2009.

Erie County Sheriff's deputies Doug Grube and Amy Klimowicz responded to an erratic driving complaint on S.Cascade Dr. Springville at approximately 5:21am. A report of a vehicle speeding and driving erratically lead to the stopping of a vehicle being operated by Jonathan M.Moss age 22 of Ellicottville. After failing a series of roadside sobriety tests he was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was taken back to the Springville sub-station and given a breath test. The results of the test was .20% BAC.

He was charged with Failure to Keep Right, Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage while Driving and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

He was released to a relative and will be arraigned in the Village of Springville Court at a later date.

At 5:10am Deputies Timothy Donovan and Ferris Cully responded to a report of an accident on Rt 438 @ Richardson Rds. on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation. A vehicle being operated by Alton M.John age 35 of Brant lost control and sheared off a telephone pole. Mr. John was arrested for Driving while Intoxicated and taken to the N.Collins sub-station for a breath test. The results of the test was .15% BAC.

He was released to a relative and will be arraigned at a later date.
