The Alden Hook & Ladder Fire Company held a truck dedication and Memorial Service on Saturday afternoon, November 10, 2007.
At 4:00 P.M. the fire department members gathered at the Ames Plaza to dedicate their new pumper and Chief's vehicle. Chief Mark Pruitt thanked all for helping to make these new vehicles possible and putting them into service. Chaplain James Gerber said a dedicatory prayer to all those assembled.
Then, as per tradition, trucks and firefighters from the surrounding area gathered around the new vehicles sirens blaring to give them a good "christening" using many hose lines and even an aerial platform.
